This cheeky little technique means you can utilise your sleep time to curl your hair the night before an event. (If you're a mum or someone who likes to sleep in this is priceless.) It creates loose imperfect natural looking curls. You can also do this in the morning if it is an evening thing.
Ok so make sure your hair is clean and dry.
I have naturally curly hair so I straighten it first (you girls with straight hair are going to think I'm mental but the curly girls get it.) If you have naturally straight hair you can leave it a little damp. Grab a bra strap and put in around your head like a love child. I like to pull my hair as forward as possible so there is less left over when I get to the back.
- Grab the first centimeter or so from the front, lift it up and tuck it down and under the band
- Grab the next bit
- Pull it up
- Tuck it under and continue until you get to the back of your head, then do the other side
- Push the band up into your hairline to make sure you don't end up with an indent in your forehead and secure it with a few bobby pins. Then sleep on it.
There will be a bit of a rat's tail hanging down at the back, you can just twist this up then pin it.
If you have the type of hair that doesn't hold curl just mist some hairspray or other holding product before you put the curls in. A little more spray when you take the band out won't go astray either.
If you want to cheat and get the soft, imperfect curl look in a short amount of time just follow all the steps above and instead of sleeping in the band, blast your head with a blowdryer and let it cool before taking them out. Sometimes If I'm running late I just put them, blast with the hairdryer then let them cool in the car.
My hair is unpredictable, sometimes I get tight curls, other times I get loose. If I pass on the hairspray they sometimes fall out. Just experiment with it and see what works for you, it is much easier than any other type of curl in my opinion and it only takes five minutes.

This is useful way to make hair curls without heating. I will try this and hope I will be able to make my hair looks beautiful.
