I had a pretty sad realisation recently; there are barely any pictures of me last year. My new found baby body (and face) saw me hiding from the camera a lot and when it came to submitting a photo of myself for a work thing, I couldn't even find one. I love seeing pictures of my mum when she was my age, and all I could think was, when Scout grows up, there won't be any photos of her mum for her to love.
I saw this 365 self portrait challenge on A Beautiful Mess (my daily blog inspiration) and I thought I should give it a go. There were a whole bunch of other reasons I took it on... I thought maybe it would make me do my hair more, maybe put on make-up every so often, practice my photography, I figured as I turned 30 on New Years Day it would be an interesting year to document. I also wanted to see my face change as the babies due date neared, and I wanted to celebrate those changes. Finally, I had vowed to put more of myself on my blog, knowing that it is voyeurism that drives me to read other people's blogs. This is my brain child and I wanted my amazing visitors to be able to put a face to the endless drivel.
So these are my pics from January. There are only seven but this is still more photo's of me (or my birthday cake) than there are from the entire of last year. I am failing the 365 challenge dismally but I'm cool with that because I am achieving what I set out to do.
I am sharing most of the pics of Instagram so if you're on it, drop but and say hello.
We are a brand new blog so if you like what you see, and want to see more, please show your support by following us on either Twitter, Instagram, Hello Cotton, Bloglovin or Facebook. Thanks so much, xoxo, babs.

What a great idea. I hide from the camera too, or maybe its just because I am the one behind the camera most of the time!

yay, I did a 365, but missed a whole month in the middle because I wasn't feeling it. It will fun to do a little book at the end!

It is a great idea - pictures of YOU - but I suck at selfies and don't have a decent phone. Even once a week would be a good start - have you tried the Fix in Flats Challenges for prompts.
