I have long nails for the first time in my life - gel nails! Loving them! First time I've ever bothered with nail polish!

Thanks for the tip - any idea how I can stop my thumb nail from splitting in the middle - no matter what I do it keeps doing it!

Thanks for the tip. I go a bit nail polish mad sometimes, when I see a new cool colour. My finger nails are a bit shocking at the moment, but my toes are always getting the full treatment.

Now that i'm not at work i have started painting my nails again, there was no point when i was working as they chipped too easily. I have a decent sized collection of OPI, i went a bit nuts at Sephora in Las Vegas & they were $9 a bottle there. I'll have to give their Start to Finish a try.

Thanks for the comments guys, Emily, so weird! My thumb nail also splits. If you put a dab of super glue on the top of the nail when it is short and after it dries buff the face smooth. Then it will hold together while it grows. It look normal painted then. No idea how to stop the spli though.
