THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED, A WINNER HAS BEEN CHOSEN AND INFORMED.
Look what turned up on my doorstep, a fandangled bottle making doobywacker (and bubble wrap - hours of toddler entertainment)
Sometimes in this bloggy game you get a chance to try out new things and sometimes you get to give said things away too, ha, I think I just saw some sleep deprived eyes light up.
This, my friends, is the closer to nature® perfect prep™ machine and it makes bottles, you just press a button and it delivers filtered, body temperature water, ready to feed bub with.
(This is a sponsored post (obvs) and I received payment to feature this giveaway.)
Before it turned up, and being a bit of a minimalist myself (it comes from having my first baby in a one bedroom apartment and having no room for the bells and whistles) I put it out there at a birthday party and asked my reproducing friends what they thought of a machine that sorts all your water woes out and I got an overwhelming consensus that they all would totally use it.
So how does it assist you? If you're wondering why parents need something that makes perfect bottles my answer is, you don't. This machine is definitely in the 'want' category. It does however mean that the kettle can be used for important things like making coffee and two minute noodles and there would be none of the-rock-the-baby-while-your-bottle-cools-in-the-freezer-because-someone-sleep-deprived-boiled-the-kettle-and-now-the-water-is-too-hot dance. You know the one, we have all done it.
Here's my experience with the Perfect Prep Machine so far; OK, I have been using it for a few days now and it's pretty cool, it's easy to use, doesn't require any cleaning and Scout is calling it R2D2. It makes preparing a bottle with a baby on my hip easier because instead of pouring cold water in and microwaving it, I can just press a button. Squawk is at that age where he NEVER wants me to put him down right now so this is a really, really, really helpful for me and my knotted back.
Is it easy to use? Sure, I have tried it with a few different types of bottles just experiment and it works fine with them all, you just fill it up with water and press the button (or let your three year old to press it for you) child's play. I would maintain that a sleep deprived parent could successfully use this machine at 3am whilst bouncing a crying baby and trying not to open their eyes fully - because if your eyes aren't properly opened then you aren't fully awake, right?
My favourite feature? It beeps when it's done so if you do have some sort of standing-micro-sleep it's like a little nudge. I predict a generation of children who will instantly salivate at the sound of that beep if this machine becomes popular.
Ok, now the good part, who wants one? To go into the running to win one of these little puppies, leave comment telling me what appeals to you most about the perfect prep™ machine - the most creative and interesting answer wins the prize! You have until the 5th of June to enter.
